ASSA ABLOY signs new sponsorship agreement with Habitat for Humanity New Zealand

ASSA ABLOY New Zealand has signed a new agreement with housing charity Habitat for Humanity to support new building development for New Zealanders who are most in need. The partnership commencing October 2016 will result in the donation of interior and exterior locks and keys for homes built with Habitat for Humanity. “ASSA ABLOY New Zealand is proud to be adding to the existing relationships we have with Habitat for Humanity in other markets such as the US, Australia and Korea” said Simon Ellis, President of ASSA ABLOY Australia and New Zealand Group.

Building Homes in Samoa while on a Global Village Build

Going on a Global Village build to the Pacific this year was incredible!

Our team was in Samoa for two weeks from the 23rd of August to 3rd of September, during which we worked on 8 – 9 homes alongside local builders and the families. They were very friendly and great to work alongside. We stayed at the Adventist Development and Relief Agency (ADRA) site in Apia. Accommodation was basic but comfortable with air conditioned rooms, and the work sites were all 15 minutes to an hour’s drive from our accommodation. The team at ADRA were really cheerful and very welcoming!
