Auckland volunteer group restore home for local Mangere family
Nov 13, 2020

We had a great couple of busy volunteer group days on Thursday and Friday painting the Talo family home in Mangere.

We would like to give a huge thank you to our individual volunteers and also Jacobsen Flooring for being a huge part of the volunteer group and taking the time out of their week to help make this project possible. The Talo family are very grateful for the hard work our volunteers have done.

Also thank you to Auckland Glass who have kindly replaced the broken windows for this home at no charge, this means the home is now weather proof.

The family are very grateful for the support.

Worn Manukau home sees restoration thanks to team of volunteers
Sep 24, 2020

A big thank you to the Kainga Ora, Homes and Communities team who helped Habitat with repainting Wilson & Dawns home in Mangere.

The Kainga Ora team along with our own Build team were able to repaint the entire interior of the home in one day, a massive achievement and one that will make a big difference in the families lives.

Without their time, kindness and generosity we would not have been able to achieve so much in such a short space of time.

Habitat undertook essential repairs to the home including major roof repairs, which had been leaking for some time causing internal damage.

Habitat also installed a whole new bathroom, ranch sliders, serviced all windows, replaced decking timber and fixed the damaged eaves and spouting.
