Financial Donation

Your contribution builds strength, stability and independence through the provision of decent shelter. Every donation helps at Habitat.

Become a Home Repair partner

With the cost of the living crisis squeezing some household incomes to breaking point, many whānau simply can’t afford to make essential repairs. Over time what started as a minor repair can become a major renovation, as water leaks and rot sets in and houses become unliveable.

A proportion of home owners needing our support with Home Repairs are either not eligible for funding or can’t afford to make any form of repayment. You can help by sponsoring a local family and becoming a Home Repair partner. Your support creates meaningful social impact, increasing connection with your team and customers as we share updates and family stories.

Workplace Giving

Workplace giving is a simple and low-cost, yet powerful way to donate to Habitat for Humanity Northern.

You can support our mahi and make an impact to local whanau through automated deductions from your pre-tax pay. Donations can start, be changed or stopped at any point in time. Your support will help support families in need of decent, affordable shelter from the Bombay’s to Cape Reinga.

Workplace Giving Information
Good or Services donation

We accept and resell a wide range of items that would otherwise end up in landfills, from furniture to building materials to product end of runs and returns. Whether it’s one box or a truck full, we’d love to hear from you. Every donation helps at Habitat.

Corporate volunteering

Make a life changing impact with your team.

The one-day group activities are an opportunity for your employees, colleagues or partners to come together and spend time out of the office – no building skills required! They will enjoy an opportunity to make a life changing impact in the community for people who need a hand up and have some fun getting their hands dirty.

ReStore team – Our ReStore charity shops are the financial heartbeat of our organisation, with all proceeds supporting our housing adequacy programmes. Corporate teams can be sorting donated items, merchandising, and helping with customer service.

Build team – Our Corporate volunteer programme mobilises teams of corporate volunteers to conduct renovations, painting, site clearance, and minor building repairs.  Each team is carefully matched with a Partner family or programme to ensure the best possible outcome for everyone by taking into account your team’s interests, skill level and experience.

 We generally host team of up to 10 people for a contribution of $3000 +GST per activity. This covers all costs for the day including catering, materials, Health & Safety requirements, and trained supervision along with Habitat branded T shirts for your team to keep.
