About Us
Habitat for Humanity Nelson is a housing nonprofit organisation.
We build homes for local whanau and with our rent-to-buy programme, called Progressive Home Ownership. Our partner families are able to become homeowners in circumstances where banks or other options are not available. We make it happen. Why? Because we believe owning a decent home is a human right. A necessary foundation for a better life. For parents. For children. For the community.
How do we do that? Well, through lots of volunteers who dedicate their time, through cash or items donations and proceeds from our Nelson and Motueka ReStore, and through the support from local and national government and their funds.
