Ngāi Tai ki Tāmaki and Habitat for Humanity Northern Region have agreed to partner after signing a Memorandum of Agreement today.
The team from Rockwell Automation worked alongside our own build team to make minor repairs and re-paint the inside of Meli’s home in conditions that went from freezing in the morning to hot by midday.
These repairs will help keep the home warmer and drier this winter, it looks and feels great and we couldn’t have done it without them all.
Iris is a Home Repair Programme recipient who has had her home repaired through Habitat’s Home Repair Programme. In partnership with BNZ, the Habitat Northern team were able to make Iris’ home healthier and safe again.
The Malele family have now been partnering with Habitat for five years. Their continued diligence in saving and future planning means they will soon be in a position to secure a commercial loan and purchase their home from Habitat.
Kayoko is a single mother of four whose home was in a state of disrepair. Habitat Northern’s Home Repair Programme build team were able to make critical repairs to the home and improve living conditions for the family with the help of a team of volunteers. Māori families in need of Home Repair Programme supported by Te Puni Kokiri and Habitat Northern partnership
