nook. Café offers much needed learning programme for Nelson’s youth

Sep 11, 2023

nook. Café provides hospitality and social skills training for young adults, so they’re ready for a paid job, with a much needed boost in confidence. We work closely with The Buzz group, and Nayland, Garin and Waimea Colleges.

Some of our trainees need extra support in order to be able to get paid employment in the future. We are sensitive to their abilities and support them in areas to suit their learning needs. Please be patient with our staff and help us to provide a kind and caring workplace for them to learn in.

“With the right support, our trainees will have a bright future in paid employment. Through work at nook. Café, they learn
hospitality, but also essential social skills.” Danielle Morley, nook. Café Manager
