“Working with an awesome team of volunteers and management is fantastic and what we do for the community is what I call being in my happy place.”

Habitat Northern works with hundreds of volunteers every year, who dedicate hours of their time to give back to the community. Thank you to everyone who recently completed our survey and shared feedback on what we're doing well and where we can improve.

90% of those who completed the volunteer survey said they felt proud, involved, and contributed to their local community. 79% thought volunteering with Habitat improved their social skills and ability to make new friends. 72% thought volunteering improved their self-esteem, confidence, and motivation.

We are proud to foster an environment where people feel valued and fulfilled from their work with Habitat. We will continue to support our volunteers to feel empowered, connected, and inspired as they make a lasting impact on their communities. By prioritising volunteer wellbeing and growth, we aim to create even more opportunities for individuals to experience the personal and collective benefits of giving back.
