Habitat for Humanity
The Habitat Northern team came together from across Tāmaki Makaurau (Auckland) and Tai Tokerau (Northland) to celebrate the year that has been and reflect on what is coming next.
The day began with a pōwhiri onto Papakura Marae, a space that has played a huge part in the community and Habitat's mahi for many years.
The rest of the day was filled with stories and examples of why we do the work that we do: building new homes that give space and stability for families to grow; repairing houses so that whānau can raise the next generation under the same roof; supporting parents to create warmer, healthier homes for their tamariki; sharing in the love of op shopping to fund all of this mahi, and so much more.
It was amazing to see how each person in the Habitat team plays a part in our mission, to give everyone a decent place to live. We have come a long way, but there is still much more to do - and we are emboldened by the challenges that are ahead.

Donations over $5.00 are tax deductible. You can submit your receipt to IRD website, and they will process your tax rebate.

Yes, you can give regular monthly donations to your chose Habitat for Humanity appeal. Just select 'give monthly' when processing your donation payment.
You can change, cancel or suspend your monthly donation at any time. Please email us at info@habitat.org.nz, or phone us on (09) 579 4111.
Your credit card will be charged once you submit your first monthly gift, and future donations will be made on that same day going forward. If you wish to change your payment date to better suit your pay cycle, please get in touch via information@habitat.org.nz, or phone us on (09) 579 4111 and we can easily action that for you.
Yes, you will receive an annual tax receipt at the close of the financial year, recording all donations.
