Carol and Albert have cherished their South Auckland home since the 1980s. Unfortunately, Albert's serious health issues have made it difficult for them to keep up with necessary maintenance and repairs. What started as minor issues have gradually become major problems, requiring extensive renovations to ensure they can continue living comfortably in their home.

The required improvements include a new roof, guttering, kitchen, and bathroom renovations (featuring an accessible shower and grab rails for Albert), an exterior ramp and rails, and new carpets and flooring throughout the house.

Recently, a dedicated group of 11 corporate volunteers from Turner & Townsend stepped up to help transform Carol and Albert's home. Braving a cold and windy day, these volunteers worked tirelessly to prep and paint the exterior. The day began with a soap wash and sanding, followed by two coats of paint.

Carol and Albert are deeply appreciative of the volunteers' hard work and generosity. Thanks to their efforts and the ongoing support from Habitat builders, the family will be able to finish the painting and enjoy a safer, more comfortable home for years to come.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to all the volunteers for their mahi, time, and kindness.
