Our Home Repair Programme is an affordable, interest-free solution for homeowners needing support with critical repairs and maintenance. It’s about keeping homes warm, dry, healthy and safe.
If you own and occupy your home and need a hand up to get back on track with your home maintenance, Habitat’s Home Repair Programme may be for you.
The Home Repair Programme is supported by BNZ through their interest free line of credit.

Habitat’s Affordable Rentals offer comfortable, long-term and affordable homes so that people can put down roots with a secure rental and start saving for their future.
Rent is set at 80% of market rate, leaving 20% to save towards a home deposit. With Habitat’s long history of supporting Kiwis to have warm, healthy, safe and secure homes, tenants can be assured that they will be put first, with quality services and support throughout their tenancy.

Outside of Habitat, Michelle’s leadership in the health and disability sector further reflects her dedication to building empowered and thriving communities.
Sarah believes decent housing is a fundamental human right and at the heart of human dignity and well-being. Working for Habitat for Humanity brings together 30 years of mahi delivering safe, secure and healthy homes and buildings for everyone.
With a civil engineering degree, project and construction management, Homestar Designer & Assessor qualifications, she has worked in a diverse range of roles, always with a vision rooted in community and good governance.
Brendan leads Habitat for Humanity’s work across Otago, supporting local whānau through programmes that improve access to warm, dry, and affordable housing.
Before joining Habitat, Brendan spent several years in the public sector and place-based organising where he focused on community development and social wellbeing initiatives. He also draws on his experience as a small to medium business owner, giving him a practical understanding of the challenges families and local enterprises face across the region.
Brendan is passionate about working closely with communities to design and deliver solutions that reflect local needs and aspirations and creating opportunities for stability and connection, and he is committed to ensuring Habitat’s mission is reflected in every project undertaken in Otago.
Simon is the Area Manager for Habitat for Humanity in Southland, and he’s passionate about helping families find a place to call home in Invercargill and the surrounding
areas. With a rich background in volunteer work, emergency management, and compliance, he takes a hands-on approach to improve housing for those in need. Simon loves working as part of a team and enjoys partnering with local governments, community organisations,
businesses, and volunteers to develop better housing solutions. He’s dedicated to making Habitat for Humanity a friendly, supportive presence in Southland, striving to create positive change in the community!

If you make a donation on our website your receipt will be emailed to you automatically.
If you choose to donate via internet banking, you will receive your receipt via email 1-2 days after you make your donation. If no email address is given, your receipt will be posted to the address given.
Donations over $5.00 are tax deductible. You can submit your receipt to IRD website, and they will process your tax rebate.
Yes, you can give regular monthly donations to your chose Habitat for Humanity appeal. Just select 'give monthly' when processing your donation payment.
You can change, cancel or suspend your monthly donation at any time. Please email us at info@habitat.org.nz, or phone us on (09) 579 4111.
Your credit card will be charged once you submit your first monthly gift, and future donations will be made on that same day going forward. If you wish to change your payment date to better suit your pay cycle, please get in touch via information@habitat.org.nz, or phone us on (09) 579 4111 and we can easily action that for you.
